Upavan

Upavan – world acclaimed illustrator

Upavan took sannyas in 1978 and now lives in Ireland with his wife Bria and their two little daughters. The first picture we are showing is from the famous children‘s book The Secret Garden, published by Frances Hodgson Burnett, Beehive Books in London. We thought that the quotes from his clients (below) say more than what we would be able to write about his work.

"Russell Barnett has long been established as one of Europe‘s most respected artists. His work is extremely diverse and has included detailed map artwork for encyclopaedias, atlases, and wine labels, as well as wildlife illustrations for travel brochures. He also has experience illustrating archaeological reconstructions of ancient buildings and artefacts.

Russell has contributed to many books and magazines specialising in maps, architecture, and natural history. Born in Zimbabwe, where he first started to illustrate the animals and landscape around him, he now lives on a farm in western Ireland."
