Sans writes: ‘Some people are born with a madness. I have two. One is creating, making things. It’s really a blessing and a curse. The blessing is the gift, but the curse is that it drives you nuts, because you have to do it. The other madness is a desire to simply relax and watch the grass grow by itself. Meditation seems to flow the two together with me and is opening up an ease of being regardless of whether I am passionately painting or taking the dog for a walk’.

Having recently moved to Cornwall with his partner , Archa, he finds inspiration in the Cornish countryside and also in the vastness of the Himalayas where he treks each autumn.
As well as paintings he ‘makes’ models which are now found in private collections and museums worldwide. More on this later!
