Alaya
Alaya – playing with light and colour
Alaya only started painting three years ago when she moved to her beautiful house by the sea in Teignmouth, Devon. She says that, as well as experiences during meditation, living by the ocean has been the ‘door’ to her creative flow and she hopes that looking at her paintings will create new ‘openings’ and new possibilities in the viewer.

She has exhibited in art galleries in Bristol, Bath, Exeter, Totnes, Lyme Regis, Torquay, Teignmouth, Chagford, Paignton, Leamington Spa and Oxford and has exhibited in several Art Exhibitions. In 2005 she was selected by the South West Royal Academy of Fine Arts as one of the best new artists in the area and in 2006 received ‘Most Innovative’ and ‘Best Marine’ painting awards from the Teignmouth Art Society.
