In July* we will celebrate Croydon Hall’s Tenth Anniversary. This is usually called the ‘Summer Festival’ but it came to my mind a few days ago that perhaps it is good to remember that the origin of this celebration was based on the Hindu tradition of visiting one’s Master on the day of the full moon to show your respect and devotion.
Of course Osho is not longer around in the body but before he died he said ‘Whenever my sannyasins are gathered together I will be there’ so this is perhaps an occasion to symbolically visit him in the company of other beloved sannyasins and silently remember him in respect and devotion while we celebrate in the more down-to-earth ways of eating, drinking, singing and dancing!
* 10-13 July
