A Visit to Croydon Hall

After my trip to India I suddenly moved to a cute cottage on Exmoor near Croydon Hall AND I acquired a car! As my last one was stolen 6 months ago I was not able to visit Croydon Hall as I used to do and I really missed going there to visit friends and do the evening meditation. Now, however, things are back to normal! Huge relief!

Visiting there a few days ago I found the place to be a bustling hive of international activity! Sarita was doing one of her Tantra groups and Amlas and Atmo had flown in from Africa to assist her. It was great to see them before they take off again next Wednesday for Bimini, USA, to get ready for the next season of Wild Quest (see Profiles this week).

Supriya, a young Latvian sannyasin, (see the Art Gallery) was down from Newcastle visiting Samadan (from Italy). I found that Anahato (French), one of the divine cooks, was really an artist so he will feature in the next edition of OSHOinUK.

On Monday there was farewell lunch cooked by Tara. She is a chef supreme and both her pasta and cake were amazing. She and her partner, Vijan, have worked at Croydon Hall at various times over the last 3 years and will be sorely missed by everyone. They go to the Czech Republic to visit their families for a month before rejoining Amlas and Atmo in Bimini to help with the next season‘ s program.

Amitabh has just arrived back from a six week trip to India yesterday and Akhila has flown in from Germany to take Vijan‘ s place. Now that Tara has gone a new cook will be needed although only from the end of April and also a new Houskeeping Manager from the end of May. Kanta says she is always interested to hear from people who may want to experience life in Croydon Hall so would be happy to answer any queries (contact her on 0044 (0)1984 642200 or kanta@croydonhall.co.uk).
