The Windhorse Gallery is located near Byron Bay in the elegant federation village of Bangalow NSW.
Many UK sannyasins will remember Arpano from Medina, Poona or Rajeneeshpuram. When I was talking to him last week he gave me the address of his website showing the shop he and his partner, Simart, have opened in Byron Bay, Australia. It is called The Windhorse Gallery and in it they sell beautiful pieces of Tibetan art – tangkas, sculptures etc – which they buy during travels in India, Nepal and Tibet.
The blessing of the premises of The Windhorse Gallery by the Gyuto Monks, in November 2005.
Even knowing how aesthetic Arpano is, how incredible his sense of form, space and colour is, I was still blown away by the photos of the shop on the website. In the photos we show here some Gyuto monks are giving their blessings to the new premises.
